Warning! This post contains information!
That’s right - in stark contrast to previous posts; this one actually has info about my trip.
Firstly, I am leaving on the 19th August, arriving in London on the 20th. On the 22nd I am going on the following Contiki tour:
http://www.contiki.com/en-NZ/Tours/Europe/Europe.Camping.45.days/Itinerary.htm
That is a lot of countries. By my count, I am visiting exactly 713.82 of them. They even invented new ones just for this trip! Well not quite, but Montenegro is pretty new and I am pleased they made the effort.
Once done (on Oct 5), I am going to work in London. This will either be for MSO New York (my current company) or some other well-funded pommy outfit. This will last about 6-9 months and will feature a few trips here and there. Then it is back home in time for the 2007 NZ summer!
Also I would like to mention that I'm not the only one going away. Amy is leaving about a week after me to study economics in Vancouver.
And when you think about it, that is a much bigger deal than my little sojourn. Not only will she be away for quite a few years, but she will actually be doing work! This is in start contrast to myself, who plans to do very little that is constructive and to not take long doing it.
So congratulations again Amy and all the best!

Hey Andrew I like to talk about beef too! We should have a discussion sometime.
And Amy is going for 5 years. That is a long time. I figure if she works 22 hours a day instead of say 11 she will be done twice as quick and can be back here in 2 and a half years. Sweet.
You forgot to tell everyone that I'm going away too. To Ecuador, for 9 months to study the Ecuadorian blue fighting sloth.
By Mindy, at 9:17 am
Sorry Mindy I thought you had already studied the blue one? And that you were just trying to find funding to study the blue/green breed? Or was the algae....
Anywho, what's up with these new coins ah? I mean wow. Small. But shiny. Wow.

Also, did anyone else see Extras last night on Prime?
Halarious!
Rick Gervais from The Office.
And for those who have not listened to the podcast - SHAME!
By Andrew, at 11:01 am
Thanks Andrew. And mindy, it is 4-6 years. I am aiming for four. Plus, I have a feeling that at least in the first year I will be working a bit more than 11 hours a day :(
That looks like an awesome trip Andrew! Camping eh? What will you be sleeping on?
By amy, at 11:01 am
I hope to be sleeping on the backs of dozens of hot naked foreign girls.
I like pretending to be sleazy because it is so obviously untrue.
Lilos. We sleep on lilos.
By Andrew, at 11:04 am
no no no andrew, i believed it
By amy, at 11:10 am
I watched extras. And then I watched the second half of Boston Legal. Tonight I am watching scrubs then AQUA TEEN HUNGER FORCE.
You are sleazy Andrew, do I need to bring up the gumboots and margarine again?
By Mindy, at 11:27 am
i missed extras unfortunately as I was at Thomas' mother's and lost track of time.

Doesn't look like a bloody chainsaw.
All red and glowy and such.
By Andrew, at 2:12 pm
i think that may be blood andrew
By amy, at 2:20 pm
Like I said, it doesn't look like a bloody chainsaw.
That was a little joke from me, which I admit wasn't very funny.
By Andrew, at 2:23 pm
So's your face.
By Andrew, at 2:31 pm
Woah what's going on here then?
GO AQUA TEEN HUNGER FORCE!
I'm thinking of starting a fan club. We can dress as our favourite characters and meet and discuss plot nuances.
By Mindy, at 4:23 pm
I'll go as Ginger Spice.
By Andrew, at 4:32 pm
